When I was younger, I wrote in a journal all the time. I wrote about everything. In one entry I read about a week ago, I rambled on and on about going outside to play with Eric, and then all of a sudden the topic changed and I found myself reading a review of my chocolate milk.
So, I'm going to show you some of my entries done a while ago. I don't even know when some of them were written or how old I was, but here they are.

...I'm beginning to be a pest. Maybe I should run away to the beach and get snorkel gear and be a mermaid and never be seen by anyone except by fish. (I wrote that exact thing. >hides face in knees<)
...Older people can be boring sometimes, I've noticed.

...Tomorrow is Valentine's day. I had all mom's gifts ready before January. There are quite a lot of gifts! ...Mom knows how to fix many things. She opened the door when Krispy the cat was locked in the bath-room. What a great Mom!
Mom is so great.
I do like to read. Every day, I have to read a setence. It' s so fun to read!
This journal seems very pretty. Mom bought it and never used it, so I got to have it. (Here I made a drawing of a book)
It has been a good morning.

Today is Tuesday, zee day of zee Kit Movie! (Haha) I am excited and wonderfully joyful. I wonder if it got a five-st(drawing of a star in place of an 'a')r rating? (Drawing of five stars)
Well, Mom says it's time to get back to homeschooling! See U L8ter! Bye!
Later
I HATE that ole' mail! No magazines for me! Oh man! That makes me MAD! What a nightmare! One girl who got a misdelivery is probably flipping through (above the word 'through' there is a random doodle of a star-I liked stars then, I guess) my magazines and enjoying the special school issue.
Oh. Mom says that if I can get an AG magazine I can find a code then get my magazines back. (Silly, bad drawing of a grinning face with a speech bubble coming out that says 'okay')

This is actually a story that I wrote in my journal, supposedly when I was bored.
>date unknown<
One day, there was a small cabin in the woods. A little girl lived there. She loved the woods, and the creek with the fresh water. She loved fishing there, and sometimes taking a vase and filling it with water and running to the meadow and putting flowers in it. Her house was not actually a cabin, but it looked like one. This girl was an only child, so a small house was just for her. She much rather liked to stay outside, though, because it was to beatiful. Inside the house was warm in the winter even, but on hot summer days, the girl, (who's name was Julia), did not like staying in it. What she liked about her house was her room. It was cozy!
But one day, she was surprised to find her room clean, re-decorated, and painted! Then she found a note on her door. It said:
To: Julia
From: Mother
Dear Julia,
I know that you want freinds. I found a family who moved here. They're a mile away. You can bike there. There are girls, and their names are Gwen and Anna. Have fun! Just get permission.
Love,
Mother
Julia came to her mother and showed her the note that she had written. "Can I go?"
"Sure!," said Mother.
Julia biked there. The mountains and countryside sorrounded her.
Gwen and Anna were happy to see her. At that very moment, Julia thought that her life was perfect. The end.

That's it for now, but if you want to see more of my old entries, don't hesitate to let me know in a comment. ;)
I hope you enjoyed this post, because it was extremely embarrassing for me to share.
Much love.
If you must know, all of the writing is completely original, taking directly from the journal, bad spelling and grammar and all.

autumn is fading
...to be replaced by winter. There are only twenty-seven days till Christmas (>does happy dance<), and our tree is up, ornaments and all.
We've strung blue, green and red lights on our railing, and they're slowly fading on and off as I watch from inside the living room.
There are stockings hanging on the fireplace mantle, their nails hidden with garland. There's a stack of books placed on the fireplace itself, and Honey the bunny is resting contentedly next to them.
Today we just put up all of our decorations, and I couldn't be happier. We worked for hours, hanging, nailing, stringing, plugging and unplugging, spreading, and tying today, but it was worth it. :)
On Friday night, it rained, so yesterday morning I went outside with Dad's camera with Kirsten. Here are a few of the shots I got that had to do with autumn:

when I grow up.
...i want to be a dance teacher, I said when asked at about the age of five or six. I had been taking dance lessons since I was four, and what could be better than teaching what I loved? I would make up my own dance moves and make all my students wear big fluffy tutus. Life would be good for them and it'd be good for me.
--
..i want to be a 'scientest who studies the ocean,' I said sometime before or after I wanted to be a dance teacher. So what if I was copying my brother? I imagined myself having an office right on the beach, a wooden cabin painted white. I would find seashells down at the shore, return to my cabin and study them. And sometimes I would go scuba diving. Little did I know this is not how it works.
Later on I also wanted to be just a plain scientest. I had no idea what scientests actually do, but I guess I thought it would be fun (don't ask me why, I have no idea).

..i want to be a writer, was my thought by the time I was seven or eight. I wrote little poems sometimes, I wrote in my journal (aka a tiny, twenty-page notebook that I was very proud of), and I wrote..hmm, probably fifty stories on our computer. I thought (I thought I knew) they were the best stories in the world. I once wrote a story when I was about five about a girl named Katy with a 'pesky little sister' (at that time I particularly wanted a little sister, not a big one). It was a page long. It turned into a 'series' of page-long stories and that's when I decided to become a writer...Or that I wanted to become a writer.
for some reason I did not like the 'once-upon-a-time' stereotype, and never had. too common. old news. but I thought this picture was neat so I took it.

..i have wanted to be a writer ever since then. :) I would enjoy singing and writing songs, of course...Anything with words? I WILL gladly accept it. Wherever He takes me, though, I'm sure I'll be happy with it.
After all, He knows what is best for me. ;)

what did you want to be when you grew up as a little girl? what do you want to be now?
much love.

thankful.
Thanksgiving is coming up in less than a week. It's not just time to buy a turkey and ingredients for pumpkin pie-it's time to realize and share what you really, truly are grateful for.
We all take for granted the simplest things that many people don't have. A roof over our heads. A variety of clean, nice clothes to wear. Serviceable shoes. Clean water. Food to eat. At least one car, a laptop, a tv. Access to books at the library. A mattress and a bed. An education.
So many kids talk about how school is "the worst invention ever" and how they wish they could spend all of their time doing what they want to do. Think about how fortunate you are to be getting an education at all. Lots of kids can't go to school. And here some people complain about having the chance to learn.
With that being said, let me tell you about a project I came up with. On Thanksgiving day, you and I post as many things as we can think of that we are grateful for (I'll be expecting at least twenty things, so why not try and make it to one hundred..like I am?). It could be anything, from the library to your new sweater from Target to the bike ride you take every night.
So-all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post promising me you'll do it, and post the 20+ things you're grateful for on Thanksgiving (remember to stick the button below on your post before publishing). when Thanksgiving is over, I will be posting my link to the actual post on this post. if that makes sense.
Are you ready?

miscellaneous // etc.
my dolls. I'm starting a very exciting, um, thing on here that involves my dolls and yours! Be checking back for it. ;)
sun flares. I love sun flares! So, on the twenty-ninth of last month, I grabbed my dad's coolpix and shot some pictures of the setting sun.
just to let you know, I don't live anywhere close by to where these photos were taken. :)
electricity. When we were driving back from the place where the above photos were taken, I was taking pictures inside the moving car.
And this, my friends, is the result of me clicking the shutter button on my dad's little coolpix a few times.
Can someone tell me how I took this picture? I just pressed the button-this is what appeared on the screen afterwards. Doesn't it look like some weird red lightning bold?
pinterest.
If you haven't ever been on Pinterest, you are missing out. (However, I'd suggest staying on people (that you trust!)'s pinboards because I've heard that there's some bad stuff on there. All I ever do is stay on people's pinboards...People (whom I trust)'s pinboards...and I suggest you do the same.)
On another note, I'm in my pajamas right now because I've been sick since Monday night. My nose feels like a dripping faucet. It hurts. And so does my head. And so does my throat. And so does everything.
It's not very pleasant.
I have to go right now, but I'll be back soon. I promise. :)
