Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Hey everyone! :)

Yay! Today is Thanksgiving. I have so many things to be thankful for, but number one is definitely knowing God and Him loving me. I am so blessed to be saved from my sins, and then having the chance to spend eternity in Heaven. The thought is so comforting to me.

Another thing was having access to books, especially the Bible. I don't know what I'd do without it. It is such a big part of my life - every morning for homeschooling, my mom, brother and I sit and do our Bible. We read a passage and then discuss it before we start our homeschooling, which really is a great start for our day. And I try to read the Bible every day. Life would be so much different, if I didn't have this one book in my life.

And we also had a huge Thanksgivig feast! LOL ;) Turkey, of course, mashed potatoes, gravy, (although I don't like gravy,) green beans, two kinds of stuffing, corn, and pumpkin pie. :) That's another thing I have to be thankful for, and that is food to eat!

Anyway, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving day. :) I sure did!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! :D

Doll Hair Steaming Video! :D

Hey everyone! :)

Here is a video of me steaming my new doll from Craigslist, Bailey's, hair. Steaming is not at all scary, and I highly recommend it! I use an all-plastic steamer cleaner and then, when the steam comes out, I run it along the hair up close to the hair and run it along all the frizz until the frizz goes away.

Here is the video:

Enjoy! :)

My new Doll from Craigslist! :)

Hi everyone! :)

I have some really good news! Not at all to brag, but yesterday we were in for a big surprise. We were going to go pick up a doll from Craigslist, and she was a Pre-Mattel Molly. She had ratty, gross hair, one silver eye, and an ink mark on the bottom of her right foot, plus loose joints. :( Well, I thought that we'd get her anyway, and we did! :D We also got her for a very good price.

So, with a lot of TLC, I fixed her up... her are some before and after pics:

Before....

AND AFTER!!! :D I steamed her hair with an all-plastic steamer cleaner and it took away the frizz. Then I washed her hair, including the bangs, and kept a plastic bag over her head while I did so. :D Then I steamed the bangs, and it really helped!! :)
I am so excited for my new doll! Her name is Bailey - "Bai" for short. :) I'm coming up with a New-Doll photo story, and I'll post a video of me steaming her hair soon! :D
Anyway, I am really happy that she is feeling better now and is loved and cared for! :)
See you later, everyone! :D

My American Girl Christmas Wishlist! :)

Hi everyone! :)

Today I thought it would be fun to show you my Christmas wishlist. There are two things that I really want but the rest are just some fun extras. ;)

Lanie Doll and Book - I really, really want her before she leaves! She and Elizabeth are the main ones. LOL Most of you know this by now, and sorry if it's annoying in any way! :)

Elizabeth Doll and Book - She and Lanie... I'd be happy to get both. I will either buy Lanie myself or do without. :(

Felicity's Cardinal Cloak - Just for fun, this would be so nice to have. :)

Felicity's Riding Outfit - This one I really want, and as a walking outfit too.... Lissie would look lovely in green! :)

Felicity's Holiday Gown - I also want this one a lot too. It's so pretty! :D
Well, I guess that's it.. just wanted to show you my mainly wanted items from AG. :) Of course there's other ALOF stuff I want too, but it's so hard to find. :(
I guess that's about it, everyone! :D Have a great day! :)

A Cute Photo! :)

Hello everyone! :)

I was just browsing through my photos of my dolls and found a really cute one that I felt like sharing with you. ;) It's a photo of one of my dolls Kathleen, when she went flower-picking on a windy, early autumn day. :)

I think it's adorable! :D

Anyway, I just thought I would share that with you. :) My dolls are starting to get ready for Thanksgiving, too.... Kirsten is worrying how she's going to heat the turkey without any stove. I'd better get myself busy making a fireplace or something. :l LOL

Otherwise, things are pretty normal here, except I got a new outfit for my dolls... It's from Hobby Lobby, but it has a frilly skirt that's a little sheer JUST like American Girl's. ;) Think you can guess what it is? :)

Anyway, I guess that's about it. :) I just thought I'd share this with you! ;)

Have a great day everybody! :D

Pumpkin Fun! :D

Hey everyone! :)

I finally decided to post some fun photos of my family and I toying around with our pumpkin! ;) We chose a really spooky-looking one. ;) hehe

First we traced a lid and then cut it out. There weren't any thick, really slimy insides - just sticky, messy cobwebs. :P My mom and I took the seeds out to roast and eat and then I took out some stencils for the pumpkin I made myself, and taped them on the pumpkin. :) After that, I traced around the paper stencils and had my mom cut around the tracing. :) Here's how it turned out:

BOO! hehe ;) It really turned out great! I was surprised at how nice it looked! :)
Cuttin' up the pumpkin for pumpkin paste. LOL! :P That paste, to point out to you so that you won't be grossed out, is really going to be used for anything PUMPKIN! :D Pumpkin pie, for instance, on Thanksgiving. :D Oh, and sorry for the messy backround, we were cleaning. :)

This describes one of the steps of blending up your pumpkin so there's no huge gross chunks in your pie. :P

Cuttin' up the pumpkin again! :) It felt like tree bark, and it was so hard! :O

Last picture... this shows ALL of our precious pumpkin, turned into what's going to be our pumpking pie filling! :D Look at the top photo and this one and compare... once solid, now liquid. :( Oh well, that sure will make delicious pie! ;)
Well, I just thought I'd have to post that! :) It was so much fun working on our pumpkin, and I can't wait for pie! ;)
See you later, everybody! Have a great day! :)

P.S. My Picasa Photo Albums now have a New Doll Story up! I'm still working on it, but please check it out! :)

Happy late Halloween! :)

Hi everyone! :)

Happy {late} Halloween! I hope you all had a fun Halloween yesterday, whether you went trick-or-treating or not! ;) I did and I was a Gothic Witch! LOL! My mom and I went out together and Eric (my fourteen-year-old brother) and my Dad just stayed home. ;) Hehe I got a lot of candy and it was super yummy! I still have most of it left. :)

Almost all my dolls dressed up too! I'll have pictures of them later. :)

Also, my neighborhood is the kind where the houses are far apart and it's very hilly, so it's not ideal for trick-or-treating. So we went to the neighborhood next door where the houses are closer together. LOL It would have been a long way around the neighborhood otherwise, even with a car!(we took our truck.) :)

And also, I was walking up to this one house and it was COMPLETELY decked out with all of these Halloween decorations. There werealso, along the sidewalk, some lawnchairs where people were sitting perfectly still in all these really scary costumes. I didn't really notice that much though, and so when I was leaving I walked a few feet away and a man suddenly groaned and moved forward! I jumped about a million feet into the air, and it was super embarrasing because everybody laughed. :/ But it was SOOOOO funny too! :D LOL

And for the pumpkin-carving - yes, we carved a pumpkin, which was tough work. First we cut of the top and got all the goop out. (YUCK) And then I drew some stencils, taped them on the pumpkin, traced them all on the pumpkin, and then had my Mom carve the pumpkin! LOL But it looked super cute. :) I got lots of pictures and right now my Mom is chopping it to pieces for pumpkin pie. LOL!

Anyway though, the candy was delicious and it was a fantastic night, one that I am very happy to remember! :)

How was your Halloween? :)

~Hannah
