miscellany & a "surprise"

First of all, I'd like to say Happy ( belated... ) Easter. It was four days ago, and yet I didn't post. I'm sorry for not posting lately... I had a bad case of Blogger's Block. Everyone gets it. No one doesn't. So please don't blame me.

Anyway, I'll get back to all the miscellany I would enjoy informing you of, as long as you don't mind.

One thing is that I've been doing a lot of blog designing lately. For this summer, I think my blog design is going to be the color of an entire watermelon. For the main color scheme, it's going to be a soft pink color or a watermelon-red(ish) color. You know what I mean (?). And then the rest of the text/sidebar colors will be a mix of light green and grey/black (grey/black for the text and green for the other hullabaloo).

^Sorry for talking so much about my blog design!

Anyway. The main purpose of this post (or the main purpose for most of this post) was me showing you some of who views my blog, where they view it from, and how many times they view it. It's really interesting.

Here's a screenshot of how many people have visited my blog today. By the end of the day I probably will have had about one hundred viewers total on my blog.
Obviously, I can very simply read these charts by looking at either the map on top of the countries and numbers, or, in an easier way, I can just read the bottom. For example, I read, "United States" and then the number of how many people from the US viewed my blog is to the far right. I have people from many countries around the world visiting.
Here's how many people from different countries have viewed my blog this week. Adding up all of the numbers in the right column, you get one hundred fifty. That ( obviously ) means that precisely one hundred fifty people have visited my blog this week, and there are still many more visiting at this moment.
Here's how many people have viewed my blog this month. Eight hundred eleven people total have viewed my blog this month and, of course, there are still to be many more views.
This is how many people have viewd my blog "all time," as Blogger calls it when you click on "Stats," then "Audience," and then, of course, "all time." The countries I'm getting views from constantly change here, of course, as many countries 'come and go.'

( Sorry it's so small! ) And here are the pageviews I receive from operating systems. I received 4,777 pageviews from Windows, 364 pageviews from iPods, 186 pageviews from Macintoshes, 27 pageviews from Other Unix, 4 pageviews from Blackberries, 3 pageviews from Linux, 3 pageviews from iPads, 3 pageviews from iPhones, 1 pageview from a Nintendo Wii, and 1 pageview from a Windows NT.6.1.

All you have to do to check your stats is simply go to your Blogger dashboard and click on "Stats" on the blog that you want to check the stats on. Then browse all around on Stats. Reading the charts and graphs are a little difficult at first, but you'll get the hang of it.

So, that about wraps it up! :) If you have any queries, just ask them in a comment and I'll answer them. I REALLY appreciate comments of any kind. :)

Thanks for reading! ( This post was long... )

In Christ,

Hannah

ps. I'm sorry my blog looks so horrible and aligned the wrong way. I had trouble moving the sidebar to the left, messing with the HTML. That just happens... Anyway, hopefully I will get it fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday (April 22, 2011). Most are saying "Happy Earth Day" or whatever, and it is Earth Day, but it's also Good Friday, of course, and the day after tomorrow is Easter.

I am so thankful to Jesus that He died for me and my sins, which are very large in number. And let's not be focused on a day off from school (as I have, because it's Good Friday) or the Easter Bunny, or candy (however ridiculous that sounds!), or whatever. Let's just be focused on why Easter is...well...Easter.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16

Otherwise, my brother and I got school off today, so we are having a nice time to relax. I cleaned my room yesterday by vacuuming and organizing a little. I hope we can re-paint it soon. I can't wait to give it a better paint job...

Anyway, I hope you have a nice Friday and a good weekend! : )

In Christ,

Hannah

have I been gone for that long?

Yes. I haven't been posting for almost two weeks.
No wonder I haven't gotten any comments.

I'm really sorry for not posting lately. There hasn't been anything to post about, really. Oh, yeah...I went fishing with my brother, Eric, and my dad. But that's very boring.

Oh, and I just thought I'd post a photo of my brother riding our electric scooter we got at a garage sale last year in the summer. If you look closely in the middle of the photo, there's a small streak. That's him. (He never, ever gets in front of the camera for me unless it's for his birthday or something (and then I can't share the photo).

Well, I promise I'll be making an interesting post soon. And if you don't feel the need to comment..then I don't blame you!

Looking Back at an Old Photo.

This is one of my older photos that I took on December 24th, 2010.
That seemed like so long ago to me...
The grass was brown. The trees were drab. The sky was gray and cloudy.

Now the grass is green, the trees are full of bright, shiny green leaves, and the sky is blue.
(Well, not now. It's 8:26 now. Oh well.)

Do you like spring? What about it? :)

Yesterday...

...a well-expected package came in the mail.

It was huge, but not heavy; lovely, but not really a huge deal.

Can you guess what it is?

It was...
(Sorry for the messy table and house in the background. And this is not the best photo; I certainly could have made it more presentable, couldn't have I? Sorry!)

YES! It was my violin. Well, you probably have no idea what I am talking about, right? ;)

Almost four weeks ago, my mom ordered a violin off of I-can't-remember-what.com. (Amazon or something? I don't know.) She got it for a pretty good deal. ;D It was normally pretty expensive for just a violin, and while it's a beginner's one, it was gorgeous when I opened the case and looked at it.

Ever since I was little, I'd been wanting to play the violin, and seeing lots of other girls online just made me want to play it more! ;) So that's why I was really excited when it was ordered - and especially when it was mine.

*I seriously don't mean to be bragging about this if it appears that I am in any way. I had been wanting a violin for a VERY LONG time. So it's a treasure to me, and I am very, very grateful for it.*

So - can any of you tell just how excited I am? ;) I really am. Right now I'm sitting at the foot of my [quite messy] bed and looking at it. It's probably about three feet tall; just a guess, since I can't see it all that well. ;)

I'll try to post when I start taking lessons. Maybe yes, maybe no. ;) Just kidding.

Sorry if this post was really boring and/or a little long. Next time I'll try to make a really interesting one.

With love,

Hannah

PS. Like the new design? I decided not to wait until summer to give my blog a makeover, just because I thought a spring design would be nice.

PPS. Comments here have been slow lately, so I would really appreciate some:) Also, don't worry -  today or tomorrow I'm drawing the giveaway winner!

Awesome Giveway & a Surprise

So, first of all, Carlotta at Pastor's Girl's Ponderings is holding a giveway - and the prize is an adorable necklace with a camera charm on it. It's super cute and if you like photography, cameras, etc., then I suggest you head over to her blog and enter. ;-)

And the surprise? Millie Keith. Millie Keith's birthday party. Millie's, one of my A Life of Faith dolls, birthday is today. She's fourteen. ;-) Over at my Picasa, I posted a little one-photo album over there with an announcement that her birthday is today, but soon I'll be adding more photos of her small birthday party. ;-)

With love,

Hannah Elise
[Haha, my middle name isn't Elise. Of course not. I didn't want to give out my real middle name, so many places, I'm known as Hannah Elise. :D]

Photoshop

I'm in shock right now; total, complete shock and utter excitement.
 I just got Photoshop!!
And. I. Love it.
TO DEATH.
It is THE BEST.

( Before )
Haha! No, I didn't REALLY get Photoshop. I just wanted to play a prank on you for April Fool's Day.

I didn't wish to offend you or hurt someone's feelings up there. I just had to pull something!
But no, REALLY, I have a Photoshop-RELATED program. It's called GIMP - you may have heard of it before. And best of all, it's...FREE! :D

Well, it is one million - or one septillion (I read that in science; one septillion = 1 with twenty-four zeros behind it) times better than Picnik, in my opinion.
And if you have the right computer program (i. e. : Windows 7) then I HIGHLY suggest you get it.

That before photo turned out to look like this...
See? It's just like the 'texture' Picnik offers with Premium. But you have to pay with Premium. I almost got Premium with my savings, but decided not to, and am SO GLAD! Now I can do virtually anything with GIMP. :)

Soooo...how was your April Fools' Day? I tried to prank my nearly-fifteen-year-old brother by saying that I stole some of his savings, but he didn't believe me. And that's no surprise. Now I can't prank him anymore because he's expecting it. So is my mom. So much for tricking my family! (Oh, but we are going to play a joke on Dad. And I'll put my brother's old toy snake under his sheets, at least...or on his pillow...)

How was your April Fools' Day? Did you or are you planning to play any pranks?? ;) Do you like April Fools' Day?

I sure do.
