just a dream.

I had a truly bizarre dream last night. When I arrived at school on Friday to go to art class, as I always do, my teacher did something really strange. "Come with me," she told me and the other students, and took us to a hot room, filled with wood and saws.

My teacher told us to saw the wood into pieces and then disappeared. I took up a heavy saw, but all I can remember after that was somehow...Almost cutting off my own arm. The pain was unbearable, and blood was everywhere. I screamed for help.

So my teacher took me into a cold room, with nothing but a cot with a blanket, and told me to lay down on it. Then she took out some lotion that smelled like roses and told me to put it on the wound. Instantly the awful pain in my arm went numb and I think I fell asleep.

It was really strange. I hope that doesn't actually happen this Friday.

So the point of this post was to ask you...

What are some of your most favorite or most bizarre dreams?

i ♥ pumpkins.

Earlier today, I was outside on the front porch, taking pictures of Molly with my dad's camera.

And, upon noticing our two new pumpkins, I decided to take some pictures for y'all. :)

This is the reflection of the pumpkin on the front door...I thought it was neat. :)

Don't you just love the vintage editing? :)
9-30-11 0422
Never mind, this is just our stem-less pumpkin. ;)
9-30-11 0472
I love reflections. ;)

And here is how our pumpkins look, proudly sitting on either side of our front door. ;)
We aren't going to carve them until the day before Halloween, but I still think they're
fine the way they are, don't you? :)

I'm sorry I've been posting a little too much lately...I just had to show you these pictures. :)

Do you have your Halloween pumpkins yet?
ps. i may not be posting more because
i haven't received
any comments in a while,
and just because i'm busy.
just a reminder! :)

it's beginning to look a lot like autumn.

all photos via pinterest.

Autumn has almost officially arrived here in the hill country of Texas. It hasn't frozen yet, of course, but has gotten rather chilly!
I love autumn. One of the things I am particularly fond of when it comes to this season is that it requires pumpkins. Pumpkins taste good in pie and look beautiful when they're carved, or just sitting out in a pretty display.
Do you like pumpkins?

The colors that come along with autumn are just beautiful-definitely one of my favorite things! ;) I just love the fiery red, orange and yellow leaves, the bright orange pumpkins...
Krispy love autumn, too-at the least the leaves. ;) Usually she prefers rolling in the dirt (which is rather shocking, for she is so prim and proper), but also enjoys the leaves.
When it comes to autumn weather...I absolutely love it. When it starts to get too cold to wear summer clothing, that is when the warm clothing comes out. I absolutely love the cool weather, even though I must bundle up before going outdoors.
And the food that comes with autumn? Yum.

I'm sorry if this post was very boring, but I just had to share it with y'all. ;)

Do you like autumn? What about it?

ps. like the new design? the lovely Hannah over at Beauty Design Studios did it for me! She did such a good job, didn't she? :)

updates (& little women)

My camera broke yesterday, when I was foolish enough to be holding food in one hand and my camera in the other. My camera fell on the carpet and is now broken. It will turn on, but the lens isn't looking great.

I was and am still devastated. Yes, over a camera. Over something that I knew wouldn't last for forever, anyway. But it is still very depressing, because I loved my camera. I took pictures with it. It was a very good camera, for a point-and-shoot. :)

But, actually, I think I broke my camera (or my camera is currently not working-yes, it still could begin working if I somehow find a way to fix the lens) for a reason. In fact, I know I this happened for a reason! God allowed this to happen because it was possible I was spending way too much time with my camera, and thinking about it (my camera) more than Him, which wasn't right.

I'm not saying I'm never going to spend time with a camera again. Now that would be sad! What I'm saying is that I'm going to enjoy the next camera I get and I will spend quite a bit of time with it-but I won't obsess over taking pictures and the camera itself, and I won't spend too much time with it. I think that sounds good, don't you? ;)

Onto other subjects-do you recognize the title? Why, yes, it has been used before! It was sometime a while ago when I was reading Little Women and giving you all some updates. I would give y'all a link, but I don't think I'd really be able to find that post.

On doll posts-I'm so sorry for not doing one lately! Of course I still play with my dolls, but I don't know why I haven't been posting on them. :( Unfortunately, I won't have any very recent photos of my dolls, due to my camera breaking. I still will be able to use my photos that are on the computer, though-and they are quite recent, thankfully! ;)

Oh, and guess what? I'm actually getting a new blog design, by a professional designer, and am so excited! :D Her (my designer's) name is Hannah (as is mine, obviously...isn't that a little weird? ;)), and you can check her out over at Beauty Design Studios.

Currently I am reading Little Women (which is half-revealed by the title). I am only on page eleven, but can already tell it is going to be a very good read! I have read it before, but I stopped about halfway through and never finished. Now I'm determined to read the whole thing.

Today, Mom and I went to a couple quite a few garage sales, and while I was hoping to snag something good like an American Girl doll or a really good book, I just got a doll-sized Christmas socking, and...it was...free. Oh, well. It's better than nothing, right? And now I have one more doll Christmas accessory. Yay! ;)

Well, I guess that's about all for now. I'm sorry if this was boring for you, but at least I'm posting, right? :) I promise I'll do my best to post more from now on, and about more interesting things, too. ;)

See ya later!
love from,
Hannah

remember me?

If you don't remember me, I'm Hannah. ;)

Yes, I have been gone for a while, so naturally I have a quite a lot to share with y'all. ;) Thus, read on...!

{001.} pinterest-ing.

all photos are via pinterest.com, and none of them belong to me.

{002.} roller coasters.

from google

All I have to (quite randomly) say is that I want to ride a roller coaster next summer, when we may go to Six Flags. Even if we don't go, I still really want to ride one someday. But NOT the one above.

{003.} this post. I just love it. Just click on the link to check it out.

{004.}

These two things are so important to remember.

i have no idea where any of these photos are from except for the first ones. i happened to find them on girls' blogs with no links, so please don't accuse me of stealing them.

here comes the rain

9-30-11 429edited
Thursday, the twenty-ninth day of September, it rained.
9-30-11 418edited
We have not had a big storm like this one in a long time, so we were all very happy and grateful when we heard the sound of raindrops hitting the window!
9-30-11 516
this photo is not watermarked {or edited} , so please do not take it unless i say that you can. thanks.

It also hailed. Bits of ice were flying down from the sky and falling into the lawn and skidding across the front and back porch. They were the size of marbles.
9-30-11 441edited
The heavy rain formed a little lake in our backyard, full of mud and leaves.
9-30-11 417edited
^This photo is completely unedited, excluding the watermark, which means it is my very first natural b&w (black-and-white) photo! :)
9-30-11 4532
This shot was rather.. Difficult. :P I set the camera down, put it on self-timer, and...jumped on a pipe! I just love taking pictures of rain boots, though, so it was worth it. ;)
9-30-11 442edited
This was the only 'splashing-in-the-water' photo that actually turned out! Don't you love how the motion just sort of froze?
9-30-11 437edited
Sunny loved playing in the water. ;) He would come running up the driveway, and then.. SPLASH! He actually got pretty dirty.. Or at least his paws did. ;) I sure hope he doesn't end up sleeping in somebody's bed..

Now that it is the first of October, it is starting to feel more and more like autumn and less like summer. There are several orange and yellow leaves over at our neighbors', and when I awoke this morning, it was quite chilly! I just can't wait until the weather actually cools and the leaves on our property change color. ;)

Are you excited for the arrival of autumn? What is your favorite thing about it?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. ;) By the way, could you do me a favor and tell me how you like the new design?  I would really appreciate it. :]

Thank you!

~in Christ,
Hannah
